Noah Bray-Ali has served as Science Chair at Science Synergy in Los Angeles, California since July 2017. Prior to joining Science Synergy, Dr. Bray-Ali held a National Research Council Postdoctoral Research Associateship at the Joint Quantum Institute of the US National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Maryland and the University of Maryland at College Park. In August 2021, he found a simple yet compelling physical picture for the long-sought fundamental particle known as the axion: The picture implies that axions form the dark matter in the universe and have number density six times that of the photons in the cosmic microwave background.
